Primrose hill development
Beaubridge, a high-end boutique developer, wasn’t taking the easy option. They wanted to create amazing contemporary spaces within the reconstructed shell of a pair of derelict late-Victorian houses in the Primrose Hill conservation area. The sensitive location and handsome façades meant Camden Council insisted on the most stringent planning requirements. We would have to tread carefully, think deeply and come up with a design that worked for the council, for the developer, and for the most discerning of buyers.
We love partnering with ambitious, design-conscious developers like Beaubridge. Embracing a challenge like this comes naturally to us. We came up with a design for a seven-bedroom house, a four-bedroom maisonette and three apartments, all of which would sit within the original Victorian walls. For the council, our design ticked all the boxes and brought back the beauty and distinctiveness of the original frontage. For Beaubridge the value of our design was evident – the uplifting spaces, the unusual details, and the quality of materials would attract the very top end of the residential market.
Soon the homes will be complete and ready to welcome new owners. But we’re still hard at work, paying attention to the tiniest of details and ensuring our vision is carried through every aspect of the project. Yes, we’re architects and interior designers, but we’re so much more than that. We’ve been there for Beaubridge since the very start – sharing their goals, their drive, and the pressures of their business – and we’ll be there for them until the very end.
“Felix and Catherine run a superb architectural practice, They are a pleasure to work with; combining imagination and design integrity with precision of detail. They are also cost conscious and deliver on time….a great team.”
