Catherine gained a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1996 from the University of Texas. It was here she met Felix. During her studies, Catherine worked as an Interior Designer: a skill she was to relish and develop within her career. Following her degree, she returned to her home state of New York where she worked within the architectural department for Prime Contracting and Design on office and retail refurbishments and refits.


In 1998 she relocated to London completing her Diploma at the Architectural Association, Bedford Square in 2000. She then gained the position of Project Architect within the high-end residential department of Camden, London practice ‘KSR Architects’ where she remained until 2004. Catherine became a RIBA and ARB registered architect in 2002. She is the other founding member of the practice and married to Felix Finkernagel. She balances her life as an architect with being a mother of three.
